 A short resume of Michel Nigen

| I was born in Chateney-Malabry near Paris. I have been living in Quebec since 1969. Being a cook, developing an other art was just a step further. What matters most to me is bringing out of the canvas contrast, emotion and movement … My painting are sometimes vivid, sometimes gentle, sometimes mixed. I paint from the inspiration of the moment. My painting is my therapy. It’s my writing, it’s my book, it’s my imprint, it’s my heart. I evolve… Many of my works can be found in France, Belgium, Germany, Argentina, United States of America and of course in numerous residences in Québec and Canada. Since 1998, my work has been exhibited permanently at my studio and B&B La Maison Dufresne in Beauport.  Training
I have attended various classes with different teachers, including 3 years with Chantal Pépin at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Laval. |
